Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

Rank on Maps (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website rankonmaps.in and provides Google Business Profile optimisation, local SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, social media marketing and website design services across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and beyond.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to visitors to this website and to clients who engage our services. Please read it alongside our About page if you want to know more about who we are.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details — name, phone number, email address and business name when you submit an enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, or call us.
  • Business information — your Google Business Profile link, website URL, business address, category and any details you share while we assess or work on your listing.
  • Correspondence — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or through this website.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, time spent, referring website, approximate location derived from IP address, and the links you click.
  • Device data — browser type, operating system, screen size and device category.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see section 4.

We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as financial account credentials, government identification numbers or health information through this website.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a free Google Business Profile audit
  • To deliver the services you have engaged us for
  • To communicate with you about your project, including reports and updates
  • To raise invoices and maintain business records
  • To understand how visitors use this website so we can improve it
  • To measure the performance of our own advertising
  • To comply with applicable law

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Access to Your Google Business Profile and Marketing Accounts

This section matters more than any other for our clients, so we set it out plainly.

To carry out our work we usually need manager or admin access to your Google Business Profile, and sometimes to your Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, website admin panel or analytics accounts.

  • We request the lowest level of access that allows us to do the job.
  • Access is used only for the work you have engaged us for.
  • You remain the owner of your accounts and listings at all times. We do not take primary ownership of a client’s Google Business Profile, and we do not withhold access if you decide to stop working with us.
  • When an engagement ends, you may ask us to remove ourselves from your accounts, and we will do so promptly.
  • We never share your account credentials or access with any other client or third party.

We recommend granting access through Google’s and Meta’s own manager-invitation systems rather than sharing passwords. If you have shared a password with us, please change it once the engagement ends.

4. Cookies and Tracking

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to understand how it is used. Broadly, these fall into:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function.
  • Analytics cookies — help us see which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site.
  • Advertising cookies — allow us to measure our advertising and, in some cases, show our ads to people who have previously visited this website.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this website from working properly.

5. Third-Party Services We Use

We use established third-party services to run this website and our business. Each processes some data under its own privacy policy:

  • Google — Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Maps and Google Business Profile
  • Meta — Facebook and Instagram advertising and pages
  • Trustindex — displays our Google reviews on this website
  • WhatsApp — used for enquiries and client communication
  • Our web hosting provider — stores this website and its server logs

Embedded content such as the Google Map in our footer and any social media links behave as if you had visited those websites directly, and those companies may collect data about you accordingly.

6. When We Share Information

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • Service providers — the platforms listed above, to the extent needed to run our website and deliver our services.
  • Google, when acting on your behalf — for example when filing a reinstatement appeal, an ownership-conflict request or a verification submission, we submit the business details and supporting documents you have provided.
  • Legal obligations — where we are required to disclose information by law or to protect our legal rights.

7. Case Studies and Client Names

We sometimes publish case studies describing work we have done. Where a case study identifies a client by name, business name or location, we publish it only with that client’s permission. If you are a client and would prefer your work not to be referenced publicly, or you want an existing case study removed, tell us and we will act on it.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Client records, project files and invoices are kept for as long as required for business and tax purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

9. Security

This website is served over HTTPS, and we restrict access to client information to the people who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

You may ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete information we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep
  • Stop sending you marketing communications
  • Remove our access to your Google, Meta or website accounts

To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to Other Websites

This website links to other websites, including our clients’ websites, Google properties and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to active clients directly.

14. Contact Us

We aim to respond to privacy queries within a reasonable time of receiving them.
